This PowerPoint is describing where the food we eat comes from. However, during the past few weeks my group have discussed that most of the foods we eat aren't grown locally.
As we are coming to an end of the program we have finished up our last portfolio training session and we have learned so much during the last 4 weeks. However, yesterday on August 3, 2010 we discussed Resumes and cover letters that can be helpful for us in the future when we began to apply for long-term careers. Overall, even though I knew majority of the things we were being taught I can at least say it came in handy.
As we become more aware of the things that we have to do with the green works program our work progress has very much improved. However, last Friday we went to the Fresh Grocery store and I learned quit some thing s about a fresh grocer vs a regular super market. For example, I noticed that on the fruits and vegetables that most of them were locally grown in the USA or imported from a different such as Mexico(Limes, mangos), Costa Rica(Pineapples), Argentina(Bosco pears), and Ecuador(Bananas). For the most part one thing that I can say is that buying from a fresh grocery store isn't just healthier for the people and the environment its id also more affordable.
