Green-Works/Bits Program

The Bits Summer Intensive program is known as the Building Information Technology skills for students to engage in many different fieldwork opportunities. However, my group is involved with green-works Philadelphia where we want to find out where Temple University supplies its food from and also, to get the students to think critically about the nature of current methods of food and production and distribution within Temple University campus and its community.

Within our group we have discussed that Going Green is Eco-Friendly or to allow or help our inner communities become better places to live by recycling more, cleaning the streets, providing better health food at the local corner stores and by using less energy for the environment. In addition, we explained that sustainability is the capacity to endure in the ecology of our environment; which can also be explained as helping our environment by controlling the bad habits that effect our communities.
